The Tour Guide
Kevin Gaudette, shown here with his 1961 Lakewood wagon at the 2010 Hemmings’ Concours, is one of the many volunteers helping to make this summer’s convention in Sturbridge an enjoyable and memorable one.
Kevin is a core part of the group that is arranging the various tours that will take place during the convention, tours that as of this writing are planned to include the Mohegan Sun Casino, historic Boston and the mansions of Newport.
We will tell you about each of these offsite tours in turn. Today we’ll take a look at the first of them, the Mohegan Sun Casino tour, scheduled for Wednesday evening, July 25. According to Kevin, "this is not as much a tour as it is an experience. Mohegan Sun is a world-class entertainment, dining, shopping and casino destination."
A chartered tour bus will leave the Sturbridge Host Hotel and take us to the casino where we will be greeted by a casino host. Each participant will receive a $15 meal coupon and $15 gambling coupon for bets at the Big 6 Wheel.
We will have five hours to experience all that Mohegan Sun has to offer – which is a lot!
